Research Interests:
My research focuses on virus disinfection in water treatment systems, with an emphasis on understanding and modeling tailing behavior during UV disinfection. I am interested in how viral inactivation kinetics change at high UV doses and how these behaviors impact treatment reliability and pathogen risk reduction. My work combines infectivity assays, molecular methods, and kinetic modeling to better understand mechanisms of viral persistence during disinfection.
I am also involved in COMPASS/PIPP projects focused on literature-based data synthesis and predictive modeling of viral disinfection across water and aerosol systems.
